For decades, researchers and child-development experts have touted the benefits of sports and camps. Google it. You'll find pages and pages detailing the kind of kids they produce.
- Young athletes have lower stress and anxiety.
- They're higher academic achievers.
- They're healthier.
- Camp kids have unique interests.
- They’re more confident.
- They’re less likely to give in to peer pressure.
- The list goes on and on.
What if you could combine them to create a program that brings the structure, teamwork, and goals of sports together with the self-discovery, confidence, and positivity forged at summer camp? What if you made it year-round, with both in-person experiences and virtual app engagement? What if it lasted three years? This is the thinking behind Connor Kids Academy.
Our high-quality, one-of-a-kind model uses sports as the forum for impacting participants on the court, in the classroom, and in life. We follow up on our summer event — a new take on the traditional sports camp concept — with multiple touchpoints throughout the year and a custom-made interactive app. Our curriculum is focused on healthy habits and good choices.
We plan to spread this innovative model across the nation, with up to 10 total locations by 2027.
